The Videcon News | August Round-Up

It’s been another busy month at Videcon, with new products, practical security solutions, upcoming technology and plenty happening across the industry.

From lockdown solutions and active deterrence technology to access control, fire detection and video management, we’re rounding up some of the key highlights from August.

Product Focus

Tech Team Spotlight

Our Technical Team has been exploring a range of products designed to support installers with reliable, practical and high-performance security solutions.

Texecom Capture

The Texecom Capture A20 combines a quad-element pyro with K-brand microwave detection to provide dual-technology motion detection. With 20m / 85 ° volumetric coverage, the Grade 3 detector also features Low Sensitivity, CloakWise and Dual Tech modes, giving installers additional options when specifying detection for demanding applications.

Advanced MX-GO1 1-Loop Fire Alarm Panel

The Advanced Go MX-GO1 is a single-loop fire alarm panel designed to provide a straightforward solution for smaller sites, supporting up to 50 addresses. It features a graphical LCD interface, integral zone LEDs, Auto-learn, Loop Detection and an on-board Scope facility to help installers with commissioning and fault-finding.

CDVI ievo Ultimate Fingerprint Reader

The CDVI ievo ultimate fingerprint reader uses multi-spectral imaging to read fingerprints from both the surface and subsurface levels, helping maintain recognition when fingerprints are affected by factors such as dirt, moisture or damage.

The vandal-resistant reader is IP65 rated, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation and can support up to 50,000 fingerprint templates when used with the appropriate interface board.

Nuflex CAT5e & CAT6 Cable

From standard internal installations to applications requiring protection, the Nuflex CAT5e and CAT6 range gives installers a choice of cable specifications to suit the job.

The range includes solid copper core options, LSZH cable and duct-grade cables, with with CAT5e and CAT6 available in different constructions and colours. This makes it easier to specify the right cable for the installation, whether you're connecting CCTV, networking equipment or other IP security devices.

Lockdown Solutions

Four Lockdown Solutions to Know

With organisations preparing for the requirements of Martyn’s Law, having a clear and effective lockdown strategy is becoming an increasingly important consideration. Different sites will have different requirements, from fully addressable systems to wireless solutions that can be installed with minimal disruption.

Network Optix Failover and Audit Trail

Video management isn’t only about viewing cameras. Keeping systems available and maintaining visibility of user activity are both important considerations for modern security installations.

This month, we have been showcasing two Network Optix features that can help strengthen your VMS setup, Failover and Audit Trail. Failover helps maintain system availability when a server becomes unavailable, while the Audit Trail provides visibility of activity within the system, helping administrators understand what changes and actions have taken place.
