About – Solo is a phone-based, cloud-hosted access control system; which is created and managed from the Paxton Solo app. With Solo, your phone is the system and the key. \r\n\r\nThe Solo - Controller is a device that supports Bluetooth® communication with a smartphone installed with the Solo app. The Controller is responsible for opening a Solo controlled door when a user with appropriate access permissions presents their smartphone to the Solo - DoorTag. \r\n\r\nInstallation - The Solo - Controller comes with a label showing instructions for required connections. The unit has a voltage free relay to switch any lock or electrical device. Exit buttons, door contacts and alarm devices may also be connected.\r\n\r\nSolo - Controllers communicate with the cloud via Solo users' phones. This removes the need for any network infrastructure on site.\r\n\r\nOperation - When a valid user presents their smartphone to the Solo - DoorTag, the controller receives a grant access message from the users phone via Bluetooth® communication and unlocks the door.
