Normally the control modules of the fire alarm system is surface mounted with an imbedded back box. In some cases a back box is required to allow for surface routing cabling. The B-9310 is a surface mounting backbox for use with selected GST devices. It allows for cable entry into the module via multiple knockout holes in the back of the unit.
