History made down at Beck Lane as the 2025 team become the first Littletown squad to reach a County Cup Final in their 65th season.
A convincing win for the lads in the Semi Final reviewed below by team manager and Videcon BDM Jonathan Ginnelly
" The first goal came as a Thompson cross found Tom Ramsden at the back post who snook it past the keeper for the opener! 1-0.
Like buses the chances kept coming and after more squandered opportunities Adam Williams sent his opponent down with a dummy and hit a pin point finish from 20 yards to make it two! 2-0.
Shortly after more pressure from the Littletown forwards and great work in midfield, Ramsden flicked a forward ball onto Thompson who like lightening beat the Field defence rounded the keeper and slotted home into an empty net. 3-0.
Half time came with Littletown deservedly leading but fully aware the game was not done.
The second half left nothing much to report. The home side again wasteful with a couple of opportunities but defensively limiting Field to no opportunities whatsoever.
The last kick of the game saw a finish from the Field forward before the whistle then blew.
3-1
"A professional performance, with standout MOM Ethan Lee dominating midfield and the back 5 once again proving why we have the best defensive record in the league, just a shame not to keep the clean sheet late on"
10 wins in a row, and the hunt for 4 trophies is still on!!!
Watched online by 7,000 people, and a fantastic support at Beck Lane, our thanks go to all who came out to watch the game and our valued sponsors "
Special mention to Robbie Thompson from our purchasing department as well who plays in centre midfield.
Good luck in the final, bring home to the win ?
