On Thursday, August 17 the first ever Women in Security Awards Golf Event was hosted at The Belfry Hotel. Forty women from the security sector with all levels of golfing ability enjoyed a day of training with a golf pro on how to tee off, how to chip onto the green and successful putting. After lunch they headed out onto the Derby Course to play a 9 hole game.
Our very own Debbie Carter the driving force behind organising this event which is now going to be an annual staple in the security event calendar. The main awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 14th September at Shakespeare's Under Globe Theatre, a full event write up will follow.

Best student – Letitia Emeana
Most stylish player – Mel Day
Worst player – Debbie Ashall (who managed to break a club!)
Worst potty-mouth – Sam Bamford
Most improved player – Emma Harris
