Are Wireless Intruder Alarm Systems Completely Wireless?
Wireless intruder alarm systems are not entirely wireless in the strictest sense. While the sensors and detectors communicate wirelessly with the central control panel, they still require power to function. Many wireless sensors use replaceable batteries, which need periodic checking and replacement to ensure continuous operation. The control panel itself typically needs to be plugged into a mains power supply to provide a constant electrical connection, to power the system's core components and maintain communication with individual sensors.
