How Does a 2 Wire Fire Alarm System Work?
- Power Supply: The control panel supplies power to all connected devices through the two wires.
- Data Transmission: The same wires are used to send and receive data signals. This data includes information from detectors, such as smoke or heat sensors, and inputs from manual call points.
- Device Communication: When a detector or call point is activated, it sends a signal back to the control panel via the two wires. The control panel then processes this information and triggers the appropriate response, such as sounding an alarm or activating a sprinkler system.
